Susan Laliberté, Clinical Mental Health Counselor
My name is Susan Laliberté, and I am a mental health clinician at Path to Renewal Therapy Services. I’m a graduate of Merrimack College with a Master of Science degree in clinical Mental Health Counseling, and I previously earned a Master of Liberal Arts in Psychology from Harvard University, strengthening my ability to blend evidence-based care with thoughtful, human-centered support. Earlier, I completed a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Bentley University, enhancing my capacity to communicate clearly, advocate effectively, and connect with people in meaningful ways. I help adults who feel emotionally “stuck” and chronically self-critical regain a stronger sense of control in their personal and professional lives. If insecurity, anxiety, and depression are leaving you self-doubting, emotionally overwhelmed, or stuck in the same painful loops, I’ll help you slow down, understand what’s driving these struggles, and pinpoint the patterns that keep pulling you off track.
Together, we’ll actively reshape unhelpful thoughts, behaviors, and emotional responses, so they no longer run your day or define your identity. With curiosity, compassion, and a clinically focused approach, you’ll strengthen self-worth, build practical, evidence-informed coping skills, and learn more reliable ways to regulate stress and manage difficult feelings. As your coping becomes steadier and your internal confidence grows, your choices will start to feel grounded, steadier, and more aligned, so you can move forward with clarity, momentum, and the ability to thrive, not just manage symptoms.
I use a blend of Solution-Focused techniques, skills training, and CBT to help you move from impaired functioning to change. Solution-Focused work helps us spotlight what’s already working (even in small ways) and build practical next steps toward your goals. Through skills training, you’ll gain tools to manage stress, regulate tough emotions, and handle anxiety or low moods with more consistency. And with CBT, we’ll track negative or distorted thought patterns and replace them with healthier, more balanced ways of thinking—so you feel more confident, grounded, and in control of your options.
