Julie C. Sweetland, LMSW

My name is Julie Sweetland, and I am a mental health clinician at Path to Renewal Therapy Services. I earned my Bachelor of Arts from Kenyon College and my Master of Social Work from Fordham University. I am a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in the State of Connecticut.

I bring experience in both clinical practice and human services, with a focus on supporting adults, particularly young adults, through periods of high stress and life transitions. I work with clients to better understand their emotions, develop healthy coping skills, and build resilience as they navigate life's challenges. I am committed to creating a compassionate, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel supported throughout their therapeutic journey.

My clinical approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and other evidence-based interventions, with a strong emphasis on developing emotional regulation skills and practical coping strategies. I believe in giving clients concrete tools they can use in real-time, integrating mind-body techniques like grounding and breathwork alongside insight-oriented therapy. My goal is to create an inclusive, collaborative space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to build lasting change.
