Jillian Mariah Kus, Master of Social Work Intern
My name is Jillian Mariah Kus, and I am a Social Work Intern at Path to Renewal Therapy Services. I am currently pursuing my Master of Social Work (MSW) at Quinnipiac University. My professional experience includes working as a Case Manager at Gilead Community Services, where I support individuals with mental health needs through case management, daily living skills, crisis intervention, and recovery-oriented services. I also have previous experience working with adolescents and adults experiencing mental health and behavioral challenges, which has strengthened my passion for providing compassionate clinical care.
My clinical approach incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), strengths-based practice, solution-focused therapy, trauma-informed care, motivational interviewing, mindfulness techniques, and psychoeducation. I tailor treatment to each client's unique needs while collaborating to create achievable goals.
I specialize in working with children and adolescents, family support, anxiety, depression, behavioral challenges, trauma-informed care, life transitions, emotional regulation, and strengths-based therapy.
I believe every individual deserves to feel heard, respected, and supported in a safe, nonjudgmental environment. My goal is to build trusting therapeutic relationships where clients feel comfortable exploring challenges while recognizing their strengths and resilience. I utilize a compassionate, person-centered approach while integrating evidence-based practices to help clients develop healthy coping skills, improve emotional well-being, and work toward meaningful personal goals.
