Nicolas Stowell, LPC-A

My name is Nicolas Stowell, mental health clinician at Path to Renewal Therapy Services. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA, and hold a Master of Science degree in School Psychology and Clinical Counseling from the University of Hartford, where I am also completing my Sixth-Year Certificate in School Psychology. I currently hold a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPC-A) credential in the State of Connecticut.

I have several years of experience providing counseling and psychological services to children and adolescents across school and clinical settings. My work includes individual and group counseling, psychoeducational assessment, risk assessment, and crisis intervention. I have extensive experience supporting students with autism spectrum disorder, emotional disabilities, and significant behavioral challenges, helping them develop adaptive coping, self-regulation, and social skills. In addition to my clinical training, I have worked extensively with youth as a certified alpine ski racing coach, helping young athletes build confidence, focus, and resilience through sport.

My clinical approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and other evidence-based interventions, emphasizing emotional regulation, resilience, and adaptive coping strategies. I strive to create a supportive, collaborative, and trusting environment where each client feels understood, empowered, and capable of personal growth.
