My name is Melina Villegas, mental health clinical intern at Path to Renewal Therapy Services. I am currently pursuing my Master’s Degree in Forensic Psychology with The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, to obtain a license in Professional Counselor (LPC.) I also have my Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Mathematics from Trinity College. I am interested in working with individuals who are facing trauma, anxiety, depression or just experiencing everyday mental health challenges. 

I am versed in using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and other evidenced based practices and treatments. I use a client centered and collaborative approach, providing a safe and supportive environment for my clients while making sure they are empowered and heard, providing empathy and respect, while working toward their therapeutic and personal goals. 

I want to help my future client’s identity and change their unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors. I am willing to continue learning and applying techniques that further my client’s mental health wellness and resilience.
